Once the floor plan or ceiling plan is open the view range button becomes available in the properties panel see figure 1.

Click the edit button for the view range parameter.
But when you open the floor plan you can t see the windows.
Users can access the view range with just a few clicks.
Everything cut by the pink line like in the image below will display in thick lines.
The view range is a set of horizontal planes that control the visibility and display of objects in a plan view.
The top and bottom clip planes represent the topmost and bottommost portion of the view range.
Set cut plane to 4 0 1220 mm.
Everything between the cut.
Go to the floor plan view and click in the view range menu in the instance properties.
The view range button must be clicked to access the view range.
Enter a value for both the bottom offset under primary range and the level offset under view depth that is more than 4 feet from the floor or slab.

In a floor plan view the key parameters are cut plane and bottom.
There are two windows in the elevation view.
The reason why we can t see it is that they are placed above the cut plane of the plan s view range.
The horizontal planes that define the view range are top cut plane and bottom.
Set a level and a height offset for each of these parameter.
If the above circumstances cannot be fullfilled follow these steps to exclude the floor slab.
For plan views choose view properties view range and set top to level above with an offset setting of 0 0 0 mm.
The floor plan cut the model at elevation 1200 mm but the windows sill height are at 1700 mm.
